Jon Planas was born in Lima Peru and paints on traditional canvas as well as found objects and wearable objects. Currently based in LA, Planas is one of the original Absolut Vodka artists along with Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Kenny Scharf, commissioned to create the original works for the famous Absolut advertising campaign. Absolut also commissioned him to create the fabulous Hollywood landmark Absolut City billboard which was a traffic stopper for almost two years on the famous Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.
